Dogs are men’s best friends, and a pet dog in South Korea has proven how loyal a furry friend can be.
Last week, a Jeju Air Flight exploded during landing after the aircraft hit a wall at the Muon International Aiport, killing 168 passengers on board and leaving only 2 crew members who survived the horror.
While the families of the deceased continue to mourn, a pet dog of one of the victims continues to wait for its owner to come home.
The dog – Pudding, is still waiting for its owner, a 79-year-old man to return home. The owner is the eldest victim in the air crash, and he was onboard the flight with eight of his family members including his 68-year-old wife, 46-year-old daughter, and grandchildren.
One of the children was reportedly six years old.
Pudding had been wandering alone around the village after its owners’ deaths. It would wait in the area and gaze at the vehicles entering the village.
An animal rights group, Care announced on its Instagram page that it had rescued Pudding after receiving multiple tip-offs from the public. According to Care, upon reaching the village, they found Pudding “sitting quietly outside the village hall, as if still waiting for its family”.
Care would temporarily take custody of Pudding until a suitable guardian is found, and the group had also sent Pudding to a veterinary hospital.
“We found its vomit containing chicken bones and onions, which could be harmful.”
