While many countries have lauded the efforts of their respective emergency units in how they have been handling the Covid-19 novel coronavirus outbreak, we as Malaysians shouldn’t forget how our own local emergency staff have also done their part in keeping the country safe from the viral infection that has since spread globally.

In a Facebook post that was recently shared by the Malaysian Ministry of Health, photos reveal the lengths which our very own emergency units, which include members of medical staff, the Fire and Rescue Department, NADMA, and other official arms, go to ensure the safety of Malaysians who will be returning to their homeland from Wuhan.

The series of photos not only shows all members participating in the operation in prayer before the plane carrying Malaysians from Wuhan lands, but also shows the degree of preparedness that they undertake together as a team. The plane, which carried over 66 people from Wuhan to Malaysia, landed at KLIA airport earlier this morning.

It has been reported that those that showed symptoms of the Covid-19 coronavirus will be sent to a designated hospital for treatment, while those who tested negative will be quarantined for 14 days to the same hospital in Nilai and closely monitored.

Our local emergency units are so well prepared, some countries have even praised Malaysia for how we have handled the Covid-19 outbreak!

In which case, we have all the more reason to thank our front line emergency unit staff for helping to keep Malaysia and Malaysians safe from the Covid-19 outbreak. We salute you for your bravery, courage, and tireless efforts!
