“We are still confirming the number of stab wounds.”

The suspect has been placed under remand for 7 days

In the press conference, PDRM said that the suspect purchased his weapons online, and at the time of writing, the police are still unable to confirm if the victim is suffering from any mental illnesses. Before the police reached the crime scene yesterday (14 October), the suspect was subdued by the teachers at the school and his brother.

The police also cited emotional distress and social media influence as factors behind the attack.

At the moment, statements from 57 witnesses have been recorded. The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code (murder).
