Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced a new initiative involving some 10 million Malaysians aged 21 and above today that’s similar to previous eWallet credit incentives.
Made during the launching of the Ekonomi Madani: Memperkasa Rakyat or roughly translated to English as Madani Economy: Empowering the People framework, the initiative would be disbursing RM100 eWallet credits to all eligible Malaysians.

Specifically, the RM100 eWallet incentive would be given to all Malaysian citizens aged 21 and above earning RM100,000 and below in annual wages.
It is estimated that the initiative would benefit approximately 10 million citizens from the B40 and M40 community.
The Prime Minister asserted,
“The estimated number of eligible recipients is expected to be around 10 million people comprising those of the B40 and M40 with allocations of around 1 billion Ringgit.”
He added that the initiative was inspired by the success and impact of the government’s past eWallet rollout programme.
Most recently, the government allocated RM400 million for eBeliaRahmah under Budget 2023, a one-off RM200 eWallet credit aid for Malaysian youth aged 18 to 20, as well as eligible students in higher education institutes.
Similar rolling out of eWallet credits was done by past governments, though details of this new RM100 eWallet initiative and how it would be distributed have yet to be fully elaborated on.
