“However, we will provide guidelines so that the police can monitor and not cause anxiety to children,”

“The Government has also agreed to establish a National Education Council to improve weaknesses in the national education system and coordinate the views of all stakeholders,” he said.

RM5 million for CCTVs and more

Anwar further shared that the Government has agreed to install closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) for the sake of the safety of students, and has approved an allocation of RM5 million for the installation of CCTVs in several selected schools.

“Counselling will also be added, although it is not like trained, qualified and accredited counsellors, it is also being considered. Additionally, the recruitment of assistant dormitory wardens, including military veterans, will be done in a neat manner,” he added.

The Government will also consider a proposal to screen the recruitment of security guards, canteen workers and cleaners.
