According to him, a total of 64 summonses were issued for various offences related to non-compliance with vehicle specifications set by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

“These locations have been identified as hotspots for motorcycle groups engaging in dangerous activities such as illegal racing and performing hazardous stunts.”

“It is understood that JPJ also seized 25 motorcycles under Section 64 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for various offences, including vehicle structure modifications (exhaust), non-compliant ‘fancy’ registration plates, lack of a driving licence, missing side mirrors, absence of insurance coverage, and others,” he shared.

“In addition, two foreign men aged 19 were also detained for further investigation under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, and their vehicles were seized under Section 64 of the same act,” he said in a press statement.

Issues warning to those involved in street gang activities in Iskandar Puteri

Meanwhile, Kumarasan issued a stern warning to anyone attempting to engage in street gang activities in the Iskandar Puteri area, as such actions clearly pose a danger to both the individuals involved and other road users.

“This operation will be carried out continuously to prevent illegal racing and ensure public safety and order,” he added.
