These days, many places are preferring to go cashless and with the emergence of digital wallets, apps and the debit or credit cards we have, it’s even easier to do so. Plus, it’s much safer than using cash and way more convenient as sometimes, you may not have enough cash with you. Of course, this makes it easier for impulse purchases too!

Now, the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) is keeping up with the times and planning to go cashless too! They have announced that starting July 1, they will no longer accept cash payments at their counters and only cashless payments will be accepted.

This has actually been announced awhile back but will only be implemented come July 1, so do take note if you usually frequent PTPTN counters. Transactions that will be going cashless include repayment for PTPTN loans and National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) deposits.

If you want to make any loan repayments or deposits, there are actually so many other methods that allow you to do so. In this internet era, almost everything can be done online! Some of these ways include using JomPAY, online banking, or even direct debit from your account or salary. Plus, if you apply for direct debit you can get an additional 10% discount on your PTPTN loans!

Otherwise, if you really want to make your payments physically at PTPTN’s counters, you can pay using your credit or debit card. For more information, log on to PTPTN’s website here or call their hotline at 03-2193 3000.

Remember, don’t bring cash to PTPTN counters anymore starting the month of July!
