As some of you may know, yesterday (25th March), marked the 213th celebration of our National Police Day where we honour our respected PDRM officers for dedicating their lives to keeping us safe and protected.
Yet, even on a day where their efforts are supposed to be celebrated, these committed officers chose to stick by their duties instead. Rain or shine, these real-life heroes maintain their posts and do their part to fight for us amidst this time of disorder.
Recently, pictures circulating on Facebook revealed Perak police maintaining their posts even after their a heavy rain spell blew away their roadblock canopy yesterday.
According to Sin Chew Daily, Perak has been experiencing heavy rain and rough weather over the past couple of days but the dedicated PDRM officers showed no signs of leaving their duty spots. They merely picked up their tents and proceeded to stay on guard for any passing civilians.
Ever since the government declared the extension of the MCO until 14th April, police officers and members of the army have been working tirelessly to enforce social order by minding roadblocks, patrolling and keeping crime rates to a minimal. They put themselves on the line everyday because they have to be in close contact with possible Covid-19 infectants who roam freely.
The biggest thank you that we can give these hardworking officers is our compliance with the MCO. Together, we can make the load a little lighter for our country’s protectors by staying at home.
