As we’re all aware of by now, the Movement Control Order (MCO) has been extended for another two weeks and is estimated to end on 14 April 2020–IF there are no further extensions. In view of this, the government, as well as private institutions alike, have been doing their best to roll out special initiatives to encourage Malaysians to #JustStayAtHome. From online contests to discount vouchers for online shopping sites and free deliveries, the list goes on.

Aside from these, there’s also one particular initiative that caught our eye and it isn’t just encouraging Malaysians to stay home, but also to game and win coupons for groceries! For real!

Known as the Supply Drop Initiative, Razer Pay & The Gaming Co. (TGC) have actually joined forces to organise this online PUBG mobile tournament for Malaysians to take part in and win RM1,000 in coupons DAILY for household essentials!

Now, who said playing games was a waste of time? 😛

Without further ado, here’s all you need to know about this one-of-a-kind online PUBG mobile tournament:

1. What’s the point of this Supply Drop Initiative?

Simple! Aside from encouraging Malaysians to stay home, this initiative was started as a means to empower Malaysian gamers to play for more during this time of need.

More than anything, this online tournament is allowing gamers to take part in the online PUBG mobile tournament and hopefully win from a pool of RM22,000 worth of coupons to spend on groceries and other essential household items for friends and family.

The coupons you win can be used on anything from Razer Pay’s exclusive partners including:

  • 7-Eleven, Malaysia
  • Razer Gold
  • 99 Speedmart
  • KK Super Mart
  • Mobile top-ups
  • Youbeli, and more

Basically, you can redeem the coupon at any of their partners via the Razer Pay app! Talk about a great way to minimise direct contact with other people.

2. How does this online tournament work & where do I register?

Basically, the Supply Drop Initiative will be running for 22 consecutive days (4 – 25 April 2020), with three slots daily.

Each slot will have 16 teams, that’s a total of 48 teams per day and 1,056 teams in total throughout the campaign. Additional fun fact: That’s 4,224 players all together from across Malaysia!

The tournament journey will basically go like this:

  1. Team/player receives a call to action (CTA)
  2. Team enters landing page
  3. Team selects slot and registers for the tournament
  4. Proceed to play in the Supply Drop round
  5. Top 4 will win a Supply Drop
  6. Once over, teams can proceed to register for the next Supply Drop

If you’re interested, make sure you gather your squad and register through their site ASAP to reserve a slot. Registration is completely FREE OF CHARGE.

3. Matches that take place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and, Sunday will be live-streamed

4. This PUBG Mobile Tournament is open to ALL

Whether you’re an amateur or pro gamer, this is the mobile tournament for you. You can take part from anywhere in Malaysia, from the comforts of your own home and win coupons daily for your household needs!

If you’re 18 years old and below, just make sure you get your parents to sign the parental consent form which can be found from the registration page here.

5. Who or what is The Gaming Company (TGC) and Razer Pay?

TGC is basically a subsidiary of the Esports Business Network (EBN). Armed with 18 years of experience in the esports industry, TGC is Southeast Asia’s leading and award-winning full-service esports marketing agency.

Razer Pay, on the other hand, is the e-wallet app designed for youth and millennials. Driven by a robust and secure payment system, users can make purchases and enjoy promos from thousands of retailers, transfer and receive funds from friends, and ultimately get rewarded.

So there you have it! An awesome initiative by two companies working hand-in-hand to encourage Malaysians to stay home by opening a platform for gamers everywhere to take part in a PUBG mobile tournament to win big and provide for their families.

What’s more, if you’re a verified Razer Pay user, you’ll be able to claim this mystery QR coupon too just by scanning it with your Razer Pay app. The coupons are limited, so scan it quick!
