Everyone is affected by the Movement Control Order – daily wage workers’ income being affected and some businesses even losing customers. Another establishment that seems to be affected is animal shelters and rescue centres. When no one is allowed to leave their house, these rescue animals aren’t getting adopted and they’re not even getting adequate food donations. Some shelters have even considered closing down due to dwindling funds!

Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue posted on their Facebook page that their food supply is running out and will most probably only last the next week or so. Due to the MCO, TESCO is fully booked and even limiting stock per order so they’re asking netizens help to sponsor food for their rescue animals.

Latest Updates on food stock in MIAR ShelterTesco has limit their number of chickens & rice per order and it's…

Posted by Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue on Thursday, April 23, 2020

Currently, their food stock is as follow:

  • Chicken stock: will last until the 26th April 2020
  • Rice: Will last until 29th April 2020
  • Kibbles: Only 15 bags
  • Can food: 5 cartons of can food, can last until 30th April 2020

They now desperately need all our help and they need chicken and rice the most to feed their rescues. Since Tesco Online doesn’t deliver to the area, they welcome to any suggestions regarding other online delivering services. They need about 29 chickens & 50kg of rice a day.

If you would like to make a donation or send the chicken and rice they need, their details are as such:

  • Address: Lot: 11129, Jalan Meranti 5, Kampung Pulau Meranti, 47120 Puchong Selangor Darul Ehsan
  • Delivery time: 9am till 12pm or 3pm till 5pm
