There are many things that are considered haram in this country and sadly, it has come to this level. It’s 2018, how are there still people with this type of mindset?
Recently, the Malaysia Animal Association posted on Facebok about how shocked they were after receiving a response from a man when they asked if he could help feed some stray dogs.
Based on the post, the Malaysia Animal Association was asking a restaurant owner if he happened to have any leftovers or even bones they could collect to feed the 36 stray dogs that are under their care.
The restaurant owner, however, answered by saying that he definitely has leftovers but he didn’t want to get involved with anything “haram” as he claims that he, along with his restaurant, will be sinned. Therefore, he won’t provide any help for the Animal Association.

Other users, comprising both Muslim and non-Muslims, did not agree with this restaurant owner’s way of thinking. The FB post was flooded with their comments and here are some of them:

In the post, it also questioned the mentality of some Malaysians, as our society is often willing to help orphans and the poor, but are not so helpful when the animal that needs help is a dog. Hence, the post was meant to spread awareness as to how we should be compassionate towards animals, regardless of its kind.
