If you go to the local farmers’ market, you can pick certain fruits from the pile that are on display. However, in certain supermarkets that sell delicate fruits like strawberries or grapes, they are pre-packed in see-through boxes with the weight and price shown. You can still see the condition of the fruit without having to open the boxes.
A video has gone viral yesterday of a lady in a local hypermarket, opening boxes of strawberries and handpicking them so that she can bring home the very best. Not only will this ruin the quality of the strawberries, but it can also be regarded as stealing as the boxes have already been weighed and priced differently from one another.
The video was shared by Erny Hayati on her Facebook page. Erny shared that when she called the staff to handle the situation, but the lady simply argued that not all the strawberries are good, and she was simply choosing the best ones. But by holding the strawberries without wearing a glove, the lady has actually ruined the strawberries too.

Let’s take this as a lesson for all of us not to be so inconsiderate and selfish. Although not all individual strawberries in the boxes are at the best condition, we need to think of the next person who will buy the fruit without opening the boxes. If you want any fresher, maybe you should go to the farm to pick the fruits yourself.
