Hello, brader it’s 2019 lah wey, can we please not resort to gender stereotypes anymore?
The gender war began when a netizen posted her status on Twitter about her 8-year journey through law school.
I’m feeling a little overwhelmed right now. I can’t believe I survived 8 years of law school. From foundation, to two degrees & a masters degree, I’m finally done.

Her tweet writes, “I’m feeling a little overwhelmed right now. I can’t believe I survived 8 years of law school.”

Aww gosh, good for you!
But then as the whole world congratulated her on her achievement, along came an idiot into the picture, relaying a very sexist message.

“With all your degrees, I hope you can cook.”
It went downhill from there, as many responded to the tweet with force.
One netizen wrote, “He just wanted to feel superior. He knows he can’t be like her.”
However, according to one respondent, the message was echoed among those from the older generation.

“I got engaged last December, and she is a medical graduate. My aunts, as usual, said that it was of no use if she is successful yet not know how to cook. Mindblown.”

In response, another said, “I would just respond by saying that I can afford a chef to cook for me every day.”
In another twitter post, a colleague of the aspiring lawyer spoke of her personality.

“In reality, she used to cook for her class and even invited people from other classes over (me), to have some of it. Not only is she a great cook but she’s a person with a genuine heart. Men will always bring women out of their league down to protect their ego it’s pathetic.”
It’s 2019. I think it’s time we do away with stereotypes that bring zero benefits to our lives. And for the sexist commenter, cook or no cook, she’s too good for you anyway, bro.
