The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has flagged a Malaysian coffee product for allegedly containing erectile dysfunction medication, Tadalafil.

Taking to their Facebook page, they warned the general public against consuming the product and shared that they have made moves to take down advertisements of the product. SFA also issued notices to online vendors against selling the coffee.

“SAF has detected Tadalafil, a potent prescription medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction, in a food product, (coffee brand). Consumers are advised not to purchase or consume the product,”

“The product has been marketed on local e-commerce platforms as a coffee product with claims of male sexual enhancement effects. SFA has worked with various online e-commerce platforms to remove the listings of the product and issued warnings to the respective sellers to refrain from selling the product with immediate effect,” they explained.

SFA went on to urge those who have consumed the product to seek counsel from a doctor should they feel fearful for their health.
