Just yesterday, a Singaporean woman had gone viral for allegedly using herself as a ‘human shield’ to block a vehicle at the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link, to allow her husband to ‘cut queue’ and merge into the lane.

But, the woman is now speaking up and telling her side of the story.

According to a report by 8World, the Singaporean woman said that they were not cutting the queue and were in the queue themselves when the car recording her had apparently attempted to dangerously merge into their lane.

“We had just passed the Malaysian toll booth and were heading for the Malaysian checkpoint at the Second Link. On the left was the divider separating the bus lane. Once we passed the toll booth, the black car on our right started to cut into our lane,”

“My husband felt that it was too close and there was no safe distance, so he stopped (the car) from cutting in,” she said.

However, the black car allegedly continued to try and merge while honking at them, which ended up forcing her vehicle to the left towards the bus lane divider.

That’s when the Singaporean woman got out of her vehicle and blocked the black car to confront the driver for their dangerous actions.

“I really thought it was dangerous, so I got out of the car to argue with the other party and asked the driver what he wanted to do and why he forced us to the left,” she explained, adding that the viral video only shows what happened after she got out of her vehicle.

However, the driver of the black car refused to speak with the woman and tried to continue moving forward.

“He was threatening to hit me, and maybe because there was an old lady in his car, he didn’t move forward.”

She also said that she knew her actions were dangerous, but she felt forced to do so at the moment.

In the end, the vehicle behind the Singaporean couple allowed the black car to merge into the lane and the black car allegedly followed them all the way to the border, though the driver did not do anything risky apparently due to the presence of law enforcement officers.

What do you think of the Singaporean woman’s side of the story? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
