Whoa, what exactly do you mean by that? A popular Taiwanese influencer has just incurred the wrath of Malaysians after he posted a vlog of his visit to Singapore and dissed us all. The young man, known as Zhong Ming Xuan, travelled to Singapore for a two day one night stay on a whim.

He encountered some problems when boarding the plane but eventually managed to make it for his Business Class flight to Singapore. When he arrived, he had not booked a hotel, so he asked the taxi driver for recommendations. After he had checked in, he went sightseeing and ended up by the Marina Bay Waterfront area where he took a rest.
He sat down and took in the views with his camera, before saying, “Actually just now I walked around for a long time and now I’m feeling very hot. Here is Singapore and it’s very close to Malaysia. So, many of those Malaysians like to travel here too, and they like to stare at me, makes me so uncomfortable when travelling here. I’ve only arrived in Singapore for a few hours but I already miss Taiwan and can’t wait to go home.” What do you mean by “those” Malaysians??

He proceeds to head back to the hotel, where he discovers that the place he has chosen is actually in the red light district and books another fancier hotel. Originally, Malaysian netizens were happily watching the video but when they reached that part where he just inadvertently dissed us, they felt rather insulted.
They criticised his comment, asking him how does he know whether they are Malaysians or Singaporeans as it’s hard to tell based on appearances alone. Some of them said that Malaysia and Singapore had similar ethnicities and asked him to be more respectful when travelling. A few supporters felt that it may have been a slip of the tongue and asked other people not to be so judgemental.
