Chaos erupted in the Parliament yesterday (April 3) when all members of the Opposition decided to leave the hall after the Speaker disallowed them to discuss further about KWSP withdrawals.

Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, Machang’s MP said that he has been waiting for answers from the Ministry of Finance in regard to KWSP withdrawals since last Thursday.

“I did ask the government, what’s their plan to help the needy if targeted KWSP withdrawals are not allowed?”

Some people had to sell their kidneys!

However, Wan said that the government has yet to provide him with an answer, rendering him and other members of the Opposition unable to keep the public updated. He also claimed that some people had no choice but to resort to selling their kidneys to continue supporting themselves.

“This is no laughing matter but unfortunately, MoF has yet to provide me with an update”, Wan said.

Is it really THAT bad?

With the ongoing inflation, it’s hard for anyone to deny that times are tough, and sometimes desperate times do call for desperate measures. However, some Malaysians are skeptical about others having to sell off their kidneys to sustain their life.

Some also blamed the previous government for the long-term lockdowns which had subsequently led to the state of the country today.

“Your team is the reason why we’re here. Too many of MCOs until people had to raise the white flags. Now you’re pretending to help the people.”

“Do we really have anyone who sells kidneys here in Malaysia?”

“Even if someone is really selling his kidney, it’s because he wants an iPhone 15.”

“PN’s solution for everything – KWSP withdrawal. From the country’s and the world’s issues.”

“When you were the government, it wasn’t easy to ask from you too. Now look who’s playing the hero?”

“I’m keeping my KWSP funds for my retirement days.”

“If the Opposition speaks, best to ask for evidence. You can’t simply trust them.”

“Back then, when many committed suicide due to the prolonged and half-baked MCO, did he ever think about it?”

“It’s suspicious. I thought only family members are allowed to donate kidneys in Malaysia?”

You can listen to Wan’s statement below.

We’ve had a few rounds of KWSP withdrawals in the past, which undeniably helped many to soldier through tough times. Fellow Malaysians, do you think another round of KWSP withdrawal is the best solution? Feel free to let us know your thoughts!
