Good news, foodies of Malaysia!
This French-inspired bakery hailing from South Korea, despite its name Paris Baguette, will be opening up soon in Malaysia!
As reported by BERNAMA, BERJAYA Food Bhd (BFood) is collaborating with Paris Baguette Singapore plc to open up the Paris Baguette bakery chain throughout Malaysia, with up to 50 or more outlets, as quoted by the CEO of Bfood, Datuk Sydney Quays.
“In every country that the Paris Baguette has opened, it has done well. The acceptance level in Indonesia has been tremendous. We know that it would be the same if we do that here.”
“We know that the acceptance level will be very high. Therefore we are very particular about the location of the first outlet.”
The first Paris Baguette in Malaysia will open up in Klang Valley by the end of the year.
The Malaysian Reserve says that the bakery will adopt 20% of our Malaysian flavours, meaning there will be items such as Rendang Croissant Sandwich; Milo cream, bandung and condensed milk croissant.
The SPC Group will develop their first Paris Baguette halal-certified bakery manufacturing and distribution centre in Johor.
They are also obtaining the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) Halal certification for the factory. Once they do, it will enable them to cater to the Muslim market in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Paris Baguette has over 3,400 stores in more than 440 locations in South Korea, the United States, China, France, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and Singapore. Malaysia will be its eighth global market.
