Going green can help save natural resources like clean water, air, and minerals. By being smart about what we use, cutting down on waste, and recycling, we can make sure these resources stick around for the future. So, how is Malaysia progressing with that?

According to the 2024 Environmental Performance Index (EPI), Malaysia ranks in 117th place out of 180 countries in the world for most environmentally friendly countries.

Countries that are best addressing environmental challenges

The 2024 Environmental Performance Index (EPI), created by Yale University, includes 58 indicators across 11 issue areas, such as climate change mitigation, air pollution, waste management, sustainable fisheries and agriculture, deforestation, and biodiversity conservation.

The study also identifies which countries are best addressing environmental challenges using these indicators, focusing on climate change performance, environmental health, and ecosystem vitality.
