This is so sweet!
An 11-year-old boy decided to put a smile on his mother’s face after finding out that she did not have enough cash to buy a ‘tudung’ for herself. According to a now-viral post on Twitter, the young boy left a note for his mother, along with RM76 in cash for her to buy a hijab.
One of the photos was a screenshot of a post by the boy’s mother, who was definitely touched by the kind and unexpected gesture.
According to the Facebook post, the boy’s mother was teasing him, hinting that she wanted him to buy her a specific ‘tudung’ she really liked and joked that she did not have enough money to buy it.
The next morning, her son left a handmade envelope with a heartwarming note inside for her. The mother wrote in her Facebook post,
On the front of the envelope, the boy wrote, “I appreciate the things you do for me, mama.” Aww!
“My son probably thought that if I didn’t have the cash to buy a ‘tudung’, I also didn’t have extra cash for food.”
An excerpt from the boy’s note reads,
“Assalamualaikum mama, if you open this, there is RM76 for you as I know you have insufficient cash. I really appreciate the things you do for me. I love you, mum.”
The tweet has become viral since it was posted on 21st March, and netizens were definitely touched by the young boy’s sweet gesture.
