Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah are currently in Indonesia for a two-day official visit as Dr Mahathir has arranged to meet Indonesian President Joko Widodo. However, before the visit, a Facebook user shared some behind-the-scenes moments featuring the both of them.
In a video that has since gone viral, the over-3-minute video features Dr Siti showcasing one of her many talents: playing the piano. Dr Siti sits and plays at the piano while Dr Mahathir walks over to her. At first, the tune that she is playing is not immediately recognisable but after a few seconds, you can hear that it is the popular folk song, Rasa Sayang.

He walks around looking out the window for a bit before coming back to stand next to his wife while she looks up at him and smiles before playing his favourite song. While she is busy playing the piano, Dr Mahathir hums and sings along happily.
When the song finishes, both of them smile at each other. Of course, netizens who saw the video were charmed by the couple’s actions. Meanwhile, a few of them asked for the name of the second song as they could not recognise it. Turns out, Dr Mahathir’s favourite song is apparently an Italian love song known as Torna a Surriento. Such refined taste!

The incident reportedly happened in Grand Hyatt, Jakarta on Friday (June 29) morning before the power couple headed to Istana Bogor to meet Widodo. This is their first visit to an ASEAN state ever since Dr Mahathir became seventh prime minister.
