We all know that Muar MP, Syed Saddiq is a very capable person in general.
During the early days of his political career, he has publicly announced that he turned down two offers from Oxford University to continue his master’s studies as he wanted to serve the rakyat.
However, as he believes that there are still many things to learn, especially with being a political figure, he has decided to attend the Lee Kuan Yew’s Senior Fellowship in Public Service program at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
That’s not all, as the program costs a minimum of SGD41,000 (RM124,336), Syed Saddiq, with his qualifications, has managed to secure a scholarship for the 6-week program.
Syed Saddiq took to his social media to announce the big news.
“I’ve been keeping this news to myself from June, but since classes start online on 21st September, why not share the good news with my friends.”
“As a youth, there are many things that I still need to learn to increase my knowledge to serve the people and the nation.”
According to their website, the Lee Kuan Yew’s Senior Fellowship in Public Service program at the National University of Singapore is tailored to senior-level leaders in public, private and non-profit sectors. It has an all-around curriculum that focuses on developing leadership and governance competencies of participants, equipping them with the tools to take on challenges at a global level.
Netizens have all extended their congratulations to the young Muar MP and they commend him for taking a step forward in trying to educate himself.
All the best Syed Saddiq!
