We cannot be more proud!

The World Economic Forum (WEF) just released their list of Young Global Leaders and out of the 127 exceptional leaders from around the globe, 3 of them are from Malaysia!

Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman, Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Yeo Bee Yin, and Chair of Amnesty International Malaysia and international psychologist, Anjhula Mya Singh Bais were all listed in WEF’s Young Global Leader’s Class of 2019, making up 3 of the 9 leaders in the ASEAN category.

The WEF Young Global Leaders honours young people from all over the globe who have made significant contributions in business, politics, the arts, technology, sports, activism, and social work. This year’s class also featured Costa Rica president Carlos Alvarado Quesada and controversial interim president of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó Márquez.

Members of the Young Global Leaders Class of 2019 will soon embark on a five-year leadership programme where they tackle societal, political, and environmental challenges. Once the five-year programme is completed, members can then join the alumni community where they can continue to engage with the WEF.

Among the other noted individuals who were featured in WEF’s Young Global Leaders in the past include human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, French President Emmanuel Macron, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Adern, and Google co-founder, Larry Page.

We’re incredibly proud of Syed Saddiq, Yeo Bee Yin, and Anjhula Mya Bais for getting such a cool opportunity. Malaysia boleh!
