Lee Jye Yong has made the country proud again after it was announced that she scored the third highest marks in the world for the June 2017 Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) examinations, according to a report from TARUC. Wow, that’s awesome! The notoriously difficult papers are a must for students who want to be chartered accountants in the future.

Lee is a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) graduate and was understandably elated when she was notified that she nabbed the Third Top ACCA Affiliate in the World for the five professional level papers. Incidentally, this means that Lee had also just set a new record as the first-ever student in TARUC to be awarded a Top Affiliate Prize at a global level. Congrats, Jye Yong!

The humble student says that she had never thought that she would be able to achieve such good results but she worked hard as she did not want to disappoint her family.

The top scorer is currently starting her working life in Deloitte Malaysia and said,

“All I wanted to do was to pass my ACCA examination so I put every effort into getting through it. The pain of studying is short but rewarding in the long run. This achievement is proof that all my hard work has paid off.”

Lee is especially grateful to TARUC for their conducive study environment as she had fun making new friends and gaining knowledge in the campus. She says, “TARUC is widely known as ACCA’s Platinum Approved Learning Partner and with its internally assessed programme, it provides the fastest route for me to complete my ACCA papers.”

“My lecturers and tutors were very knowledgeable and experienced, which helped equip me with the necessary knowledge needed to sit for the examination. My coursework and internal examinations proved challenging but under their guidance, it helped me tremendously when preparing for the external ACCA papers,” she added.

As for students who will be facing the ACCA papers in the future, we’re sure you want to know the secret to her success! Here’s what she said, “Study everything. Cover the entire syllabus instead of trying to spot possible questions. During the examination, it is important to keep track of time to ensure that you have sufficient time to answer all questions.” You’re welcome!

Congratulations again, Jye Yong for the outstanding results!
