The sanctity of children should always be protected, but some people are just too sick in the head to have such common sense.
A whole group of 21 men recently heartlessly raped a poor little 13-year-old girl in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Worst of all, they did the horrific deed TWICE in two different locations!
The incident took place this year in June during the Ramadhan month but the case was only reported on October 11, 2017, The Star reported.
The poor girl was so traumatised by the frightful episodes that she now has a fear of people in general.
The Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) division’s head, Andi Fatmawati Syam, told the press on October 24, 2017,
“The victim is afraid to meet new people. When we came to see her, Monday, she was afraid to meet us. After we explained our identities, she agreed to meet us.”
Not only is she terrified of meeting new people, she had also become very sensitive and reserved. This is particularly evident especially when discussing the trauma she went through.
“She spoke very little. Each time we touched on the tragic incident, her eyes suddenly welled with tears. We could not bring ourselves to look at that terrible condition.”
The girl is only in the first grade of junior high school, yet she has already been sexually assaulted by so many men aged between 13 and 30 years old. WTF. *sigh*
Thankfully, the authorities have arrested 14 of those men. The remaining 7 are still running free but the police have obtained their identities too.
The Luwu Police chief Adj Sr Comr Ahmad Yanuari Insan told the press,
“We have obtained the identities of the seven perpetrators. We are sure they can be immediately arrested.”
Luckily the authorities have caught those horrid men. It is unfortunate that the girl was sexually violated at such a young and tender age. However, we should remember not to blame the victim.
Those guys deserve severe punishments for their heartless and vile act. Hopefully, the girl can recover from this traumatic ordeal too.
