Heads up, commuters! Time to brace yourselves for some delays for the next few days!
In the early hours of about 3am this morning (23rd November), a cargo train unexpectedly derailed on the tracks between the Kuala Lumpur and Bank Negara KTM stations.

KTM soon announced the incident on their Facebook and Twitter pages, stating that their services will be disrupted for three days across specific stations. Their train services will experience a 30- to 45-minute delay as a result of this incident.
They announced that only certain routes are operational, such as;
- Tanjung Malim-Kepong
- Port Klang-KL Sentral
- Tampin/Seremban-KL Sentral
- Batu Caves-Sentul
Meanwhile, due to the derailed cargo train, no train can pass through the following stations;
- Kuala Lumpur
- Bank Negara
- Putra
- Segambut
KTM advised commuters to take alternative transport like the MRT in Sungai Buloh, Kajang, Muzium Negara, Pasar Seni and Subang Jaya LRT.

They also announced that bus services will be provided to ease the inconvenience and that for those heading from the Batu Caves-KL Sentral-Sentul lane, bus services are provided at;
- Sentul (in front of the station)
- KL Sentral (at KLIA Express Departure Hall parking area)

As for commuters using the Electric Train Service (ETS), the Sungai Buloh station can be reached via MRT before continuing their journey via ETS to their respective destinations.
The estimated delay for all ETS trains is between 30 and 60 minutes.
