Driving around the country, any driver will tell you that those grove roads that make loud, obnoxious nose when you cross them are sometimes music to our sleepy ears.

What if we were to tell you that overseas, the grove roads there are turned into musical rumble strips that create an oh-so-sweet sound when you cross them.

Taking to Twitter @HazeLatif  shared that the only road grove that he wants to hit are those featured on this video.

What a sweet serenade indeed.

To share just how common the road-as-an-instrument concept is, ever since its invention in 1995 several countries have begun to make their own versions.

In Denmark, two artists came up with an “Asphaltophone” concept where dots are used to create music.

Cool, right?

Malaysians commenting on the video, of course, shared their sarcasm that our roads too can create music, though it may not be the one that you’d want to hear.

“I have one in my area and it sings to the tune of Nur Kasih.”

Let’s hope that maybe Malaysian classics will soon be featured on our roads to not only serve the purpose of slowing vehicles down but also create music for our ears.
