Today (14 October) marks the first day of the CMCO for KL, Selangor, and Putrajaya. In line with the re-implementation of this order, three roads in Petaling Jaya have been closed. So if you’re a driver who uses these roads regularly during your daily commute, do take note!

Supt Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, Petaling Jaya district police deputy chief announced that the following roads will be closed starting today:

  • Jalan Persiaran Mahogani in Section 9
  • Jalan Persiaran Jati in Section 8
  • Jalan Persiaran Sungai Buloh

If your daily route is affected by these closures, the deputy chief said road users can use the following alternative routes instead:

  • Persiaran Kenanga Road via Kota Damansara Toll Road
  • Jalan Persiaran Surian at Palm Spring Kota Damansara
  • Jalan Persiaran Tropicana via Casa Tropicana

“The road closures are in line with the CMCO, to control the movement of people and traffic in the streets,” said the deputy chief in a statement recorded by BERNAMA.

“However, these (closed) routes can still be traversed by ambulances, vehicles belonging to the Fire and Rescue Department, Petaling Jaya City Council and Royal Malaysia Police (RMP). Armed Forces and police personnel will man the locations involved,” he added.

Meanwhile, in Kajang, four roadblocks were set up in the following locations:

  • Beranang Police Station
  • Jalan Broga
  • Jalan Bangi towards Nilai
  • Negeri Sembilan and the Bandar Seri Putra Toll Plaza entrance

“IPD Kajang was enforcing roadblocks and road closures in several designated locations, to reduce movement in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19,” said the Kajang District Police Chief, ACP Mohd Zaid Hassan. He added that Jalan Genting Peras is a location that will be closed for 24 hours throughout the CMCO.

Take note of these road closures and arrange alternative routes accordingly.
