Air Asia is back at it again with being socially conscious! This time they have created a burger that will help save lives. How do they do that, you ask? Well, read on to find out.
According to Business Insider Malaysia, from 2nd July, passengers will be able to contribute to a good cause by simply pre-ordering a special in-flight meal put together by a celebrated chef.
In a Facebook post by Airasia, the carrier has said that they have partnered up with the non-governmental organisation (RED) and renowned Thai Chef Hong Thaimee from New York to help end AIDS with a delicious and life-saving burger – the INSPI(RED) Burger.

This love-child of a meal, a Thai-American fusion burger, is the newest addition to AirAsia’s in-flight Asean menu –“Santan”.
The burger features a chicken patty infused with fish sauce, kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass, topped with “nam prik noom mayo“ (a green chilli mayonnaise), shredded purple cabbage and tomato on a red beetroot bun.
According to AirAsia, 10% of sales from every INSPI(RED) Burger sold will go to The Global Fund – which is a partner of (RED)– to support HIV and AIDS programmes in the ASEAN region.
The INSPI(RED) Burger is available for pre-booking at a promotional price of RM10 and comes with a complimentary drink on all flights except for those operated by AirAsia India and AirAsia Japan, the airline said.
