Based on KKM’s latest update, Malaysia recorded 39 new cases today (28 July), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 8,943. From those numbers, a total of 8,607 patients have been cured and discharged, including today’s six patients.

Fortunately, there are no new deaths in Malaysia, leaving the number of casualties at 124.

Out of the 39 new cases reported, 11 cases are imported cases and 28 cases are local.

Along with the slightly heightened numbers come two new clusters, the Kedah PUI Sivagangga cluster (five cases) and Satok cluster in Sarawak (four cases).

Based on the numbers shown, it looks like we might be slowly heading towards a second wave, which is why it is crucial that we protect ourselves and our loved ones by adhering to the standard operating procedures set by the government to prevent mass spreading of the virus.
