Visiting the carnival is a fun activity to do. From the rides to the amazing carnival food, you can enjoy your time there and go home full of happiness. However, before you go on any fun rides at the carnival, please make sure the rides are well-maintained.
In a recent video shared by Friends of 999 Malaysia, a tragedy involving a carnival ride has occurred in the city of Antipolo in the Philippines. From the video, it can be seen that the each pod can fit two visitors and the ride will take them for a fast 360 spin.
Unfortunately, during one of the spins, one of the pods broke, throwing one of the victims to the ground. However, she can be seen crawling on the floor just moments after being thrown while her friend crashes to the ground with the broken pod. From the tweet, there were no casualties but both of the victims got injured.

Accidents involving carnival rides are nothing new, but it continues to occur especially in small carnivals. Local authorities need to be proactive when giving out licenses or permits to carnival operators, checking the condition of the rides first to ensure the safety of the public.
