We feel like this needs to be reiterated again as some people don’t seem to get it. The Movement Control Order is NOT vacation time for you to loiter around with your family members. It’s a necessary period in which the Covid-19 infection curve can be flattened. But how can we do that if some people are obstinate and just plain refuse to follow simple instructions of staying home!

This family definitely learnt their lesson for violating the MCO. The government has stated clearly that only one person from each family is allowed to go out to buy groceries. Well, they didn’t follow this order and the whole family of seven were arrested and boarded the police lorry for further action. This video was posted in Seremban page showing their arrest.

MCO Phase Three begins today and as per the Defence Minister’s briefing from yesterday, those who violate MCO will no longer be offered the option of paying the RM1,000 fine. Instead, they’ll be remanded right away and further action will be taken to court.

The fact that there are still people refusing to follow simple instructions is exhausting. Do we not pity our police and military working day and night just so we could be safe? Come on Malaysians, we can do better!
