Have you seen a certain smooth-talking, pint-sized recruiter around Klang Valley, particularly “crashing” into workplaces offering a way for people to apply to a dream new position (sort of)? If you have, then you’ve encountered Mr. Pint, a mischievous mascot for Guinness on the hunt for Malaysia’s first-ever CPO!

Mr. Pint is on the loose and here’s what he’s been up to:

Mr. Pint Guinness Malaysias larger than life mascot now making surprise visits to selected offices across the Klang Valley

Offices around KL have reported sightings of this one-of-a-kind recruiter. Some find him charming, others say he’s distractingly smooth (much like a perfectly poured Guinness). But for the most part, witnesses reacted with curiosity in one of the following three ways:

  • Would you quit your job for this? (Okay, not quit per se… but definitely take a very extended lunch break.)

  • What would your boss say if Mr. Pint strolled into your meeting? (We’re guessing: “Can I quit this job and apply too?”)

  • What should I do to be the Chief Pint Officer (CPO) he is looking for? (Sounds like a fancy job title!)

“Wait, what’s a Chief Pint Officer?”

Applicants just need to tilt snap and post their pint of Guinness Draught to be in the running for Chief Pint Officer CPO

The Chief Pint Officer (CPO) is a true Guinness quality ambassador who is the face of the Tilt Challenge and the standard-setter for what a perfect pint looks like! Unlike your typical 9-to-5, CPO is a dream role for those passionate about getting the perfect pint AND a free trip to Ireland while they’re at it (more on that later)!

Prove your worth as Malaysia’s first CPO by identifying the perfect pint through the Tilt Challenge, and you’ll be in the running to win epic prizes, including an all-expenses-paid trip to Dublin with a visit to the legendary Guinness Storehouse!

“Well, I’m ready! How do I prove that my pint is perfect?”

Are you a non-Muslim aged 21 or above and think you have what it takes? Then show your skill through the art of the Tilt Challenge! Here’s how you can pass the Tilt Challenge:

  1. Grab a pint of Guinness Draught (either at a bar, or pour a Guinness Draught in a Can into a clear glass if you’re at home).

  2. Tilt it 45 degrees and make sure the creamy head stays steady. If it does, you’ve nailed the Tilt Challenge. (Remember: No spills!)

  3. Snap a pic, post it on your Instagram story, tag and follow @guinnessmy, and use #GuinnessTiltMY.

  4. Make sure your Instagram account is set to public (they need to see your Tilt Challenges after all)!

The mechanics are simple: the more Tilt Challenges you post, the higher you climb on the leaderboard! Try to reach the highest count before the deadline on 31 July!

The top 10 participants will then be vetted for a leadership programme and receive training on the “7Cs of the Perfect Pour”, which covers aspects such as cleanliness, coldness, and craft.

At the end of the programme, the last participants standing will compete in a final challenge that will determine Malaysia’s very first Guinness ‘Chief Pint Officer’. The winner will receive*:

  • An all-expenses-paid trip to Dublin, including a visit to the legendary Guinness Storehouse
  • Monthly supply of Guinness products
  • RM150 credit to be used at the Guinness flagship outlet, Arthur’s Storehouse
  • VIP invites to selected Guinness events throughout the year
  • An exclusive birthday celebration worth RM888

*Items associated with the role are subject to availability. Guinness and all related promotions and activities are strictly for non-Muslims aged 21 and above only.

To help with the search, Guinness will also host CPO open days at 25 bars across Malaysia, with sifus (read: trained brand ambassadors) at the ready to provide guidance! Can’t make it to these events? Then how about you practise at home with Guinness Draught in a Can poured into a clear glass?

“Where can I find Guinness Draught in a Can (GDIC)?”

No bar nearby? No worries. Guinness Draught in a Can (GDIC) is available at hypermarkets, supermarkets, and convenience stores nationwide. They are also available online via Shopee, Lazada and Drinkies. With the Guinness Draught in a Can, you can now enjoy the identical and iconic Guinness Draught liquid in a convenient canned format!

Prove that you have what it takes; pour the perfect pint and start sharing your Tilt Challenges before the hunt ends on 31 July to earn the title of Guinness Malaysia’s first Chief Pint Officer!

The hunt rages on, and Mr. Pint won’t stop until he finds the perfect candidate. So keep those #GuinnessTiltMY posts coming and you might just be Malaysia’s very first CPO!
