By now, most of us are already feeling the wrath of the monsoon season, and I’m afraid there’s more bad news coming our way.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET) has just issued a severe weather warning at 4.10pm today regarding thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds over several states.
If you live in these areas, you need to brace yourselves for some pretty brutal weather.
- Kuala Muda
- Bandar Baharu
- Cameron Highlands
- Pasir Mas
- Kota Bahru
- Pasir Puteh
- Tanah Merah
- Kota Kinabalu
Besides the above-mentioned, other states listed below will feel the wrath of thunderstorms too.
- Kuala Lumpur
- Negeri Sembilan
The bad weather is expected to persist until early night today (Friday, 10 November).
As of now, netizens are already exchanging information in the comment section to plan ahead of their journey.
“It’s raining heavily with thunderstorms in Gombak now,” a netizen said at about 5pm.
“It’s raining cats and dogs in Serdang as well, drive safely everyone!” another Facebook user said at 5.15pm.
Based on the feedback from netizens, the thunderstorms have already hit places like Sungai Petani, Kulim, Seremban, Kluang, Seberang Jaya and Jelebu.
So guys, plan ahead and good luck braving through Friday’s traffic on a rainy day!
