Recently, a video of a black Toyota Alphard with a Malaysian number plate went viral for cutting the queue at the Woodlands Checkpoint in Singapore.
However, it seems that more road users are still doing the same.
In a video which has gone viral, six Hyundai Starex multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) were spotted cutting the line near Johor’s Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI).
Through the viral footage, several MPV vehicles were seen blocking the path of lorries and buses, causing the lorry drivers to sound their horns several times.
According to Sinar Harian, South Johor Bahru District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat said that one of the six MPV drivers has been traced and a summon has been issued.
He said that the man involved and five other MPV drivers committed the offense at 2:50 pm, on June 9.
“Police detected a video lasting more than three minutes which went viral on social media showing several Hyundai Starex-type vehicles using the special lane of trucks and buses to cut the line.”
“All the vehicles were on their way from Singapore to Malaysia, their actions have blocked the passage of lorries and buses,” he explained.
According to Raub, efforts are being made to locate several more drivers involved in the incident.
He urged any party who is a witness to come forward to help the investigation by calling 07-2237977.
