Although it may not be the fanciest car, the Perodua Myvi holds a soft spot in the hearts of Malaysians. We often joke around about how indestructible Myvis are and they are even dubbed as the king of the road.
Recently, a viral video of a Myvi casually driving through a flood had been circulating on social media. It is assumed that the video was taken during the recent flash floods which hit parts of KL on Monday (7 March).
The video which was shared on a Mazda owner’s Facebook group showed a red Myvi casually driving through the floods whilst a black Mazda appeared to be stuck.
The caption reads, “Why Myvi can go through but Mazda cannot?”
Netizens defended the Mazda
The video has gone viral and currently sits on over 57,000 views on Facebook. Plenty of netizens took to the comments section to express their thoughts on the video.
“Myvi’s design is for Malaysia. Mazda’s design is for Japan,” commented one user.
Some users said that it’s an issue of skill
Meanwhile, some netizens said that it’s not an issue of what car you drive, but more of your skill in handling the vehicles.
“Driver not good enough.”
One user commented, “the car can go through but the owner doesn’t dare to drive through.”
