For the first time in 61 years, the new Pakatan Harapan (PH) government will be tabling its first federal budget for the year 2019.

Now, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng is currently presenting the highly anticipated Budget 2019 in Parliament.

Watch the live stream of Budget 2019 below!

Experts have predicted that this could be one of the toughest budgets our country has been faced with in light of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal, and the alleged RM1 trillion debt left behind by the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

Among some of the highlights expected to be announced is the introduction of a new tax. However, Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah has assured that the new tax would not be a burden to the people, while still being able to repay our national debt.
