Recently, there have been rumours spreading around about a potential Cabinet reshuffle soon, with certain quarters touting the reshuffle to take place in January 2024.
However, no announcements have been made on the matter yet, with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim himself being coy about the alleged reshuffle.

In fact, when asked by reporters recently at a Thanksgiving Ceremony on Thursday (23 November) in conjunction with the Unity Government being in power for one year, Anwar simply replied,
“Why January, why not December?”
As reported by BERNAMA, Anwar didn’t elaborate on the matter following the joking comment, leaving the matter up in the air once more.
Regardless, there will soon be a new Minister being appointed into office, specifically for the vacant Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister.
The position has been vacant ever since the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub passed away on 23 July this year. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Duties) Datuk Amizan Mohd Ali is currently acting on the post while a replacement is being found.
Speaking of which, BERNAMA also reported that the Prime Minister already has a candidate available to fill the post and said that it will be announced in the near future.
