We have seen and tried many ice-cream flavours such as melon, Hojicha, sea salt, and even salted egg yolk. But Crème Brûlée as an ice cream is something that we rarely hear.
On 15th July, Family Mart introduced a new Sofuto ice cream flavour: French Crème Brûlée Sofuto!
The French Crème Brûlée Sofuto ice cream has a sweet custard-like taste and a slightly, eggy aroma, giving consumers an almost authentic Crème Brûlée experience. It is also sprinkled with caramel sugar powder on the top to give it the illusion of the burnt sugar crust.
The taste is only slightly different from a real Crème Brûlée as this sofuto tastes a little more subtle and soft. Despite that, the flavour is still there and it is definitely worth RM3.90 per cone.
We like the smooth and silky texture of the Sofuto (as always), but we lowkey wish that they would give us a little bit more caramel sugar powder on top because that adds a lot more flavour to the ice cream.
Nevertheless, this new product by Family Mart is certainly worth the try for its price and the taste. We look forward to more creative flavours by Family Mart in the future! Will you be getting the sofuto soon?
