We know Malaysians love durians a lot and because of this love, many new products inspired by the thorny king of fruit have emerged. However, this local beauty company has decided to bring it to the next level by making a new range of make-up inspired by the
stinky fragrant fruit!
Elianto Makeup, a popular homegrown beauty label, has recently launched their Musang King collection without much fanfare and we can’t believe Malaysians aren’t going crazy over it! This launch was highly anticipated after they had posted an image of a girl wearing their Musang King lipstick in a bright yellow shade on November 22, 2017.
Fans were in a frenzy at the thought of being able to actually beautify themselves with durian but The Star reported that they were still testing the item, which was not available to the masses yet. Now, the wait is over as the items have officially been launched and durian fans can finally get their hands on them!
The Musang King collection truly pays homage to its namesake with five products that are almost all infused with the scent of durian. In fact, you can even spread the delight of pungent durian fragrance to everyone else by using the perfume, Elianto Durio Bloom EDP. It is said that using it will make you feel like you’re strolling in a durian orchard surrounded by the sweet aroma of the spiky fruit. No, we’re not joking!
Other beauty items for sale include eyeshadow, tinted lip balm, lip colour and a highlighter. Now you can shine bright like a durian! The lip colour is arguably one of the most eye-catching items in the collection as it is a bright yellow hue that promises to deliver “a burst of creamy colour” to the wearer. Would you try it?
If you love durian, you may just be tempted to lick their items off your face thanks to the familiar smell but we suggest that you buy an actual durian to eat instead! Currently, it looks like the items are available on their online store and on Lazada only, and is expected to hit selected retail stores from April 20 onwards.
Time to have a durian makeover on your face!
