The expert said that the main reason why a cotton T-shirt’s neckline gets stretched is due to how it gets dried. He explained that when you hang a T-shirt on a hanger to dry, the moisture weighs it down, which stretches the neckline. Now, to restore the T-shirt back to its former glory, there are only a few simple steps that you have to follow.

First, you need to prepare a bowl of ice cubes and cold water then fold the neckline of your T-shirt in a wave pattern. Soak that section in the bowl of ice cubes, which is supposed to make the fibres of the cotton firmer. Squeeze out excess moisture but make sure that the neckline is still in the “waves” pattern.

Next, flatten the neckline on a flat surface and prepare an iron in the meantime. Iron out the neckline in a vertical, upwards motion to flatten it further but do note not to iron it until it’s completely dry.
