Interested to get a Touch ‘n Go RFID tag for your vehicle but not motivated to? What if we told you that you can get a free RFID just by spending RM50 at a Shell gas station?
Yes, you read that right. According to Car Sifu, this special offer is valid from 15 February to 31 March 2020. However, you need to act quickly if you’re interested because there are only 10,000 RFID tags up for grabs.
This is a deal made between Touch ‘n Go and Shell in Klang Valley, and there will even be a future plan of letting motorists enjoy the benefits of paying fuel using RFID at the gas stations under the oil company.
Take note of the selected Shell outlets as there are only ten outlets catering to this particular offer:
- Shell Wangsa Maju 2
- Shell Taman Connaught
- Shell STN Minyak Kota Warisan 1
- Shell PLUS Highway Jalan Duta Klang Bound (Entrance of NKVE Jalan Duta)
- Shell Desa Aman Puri
- Shell Jalan Kuchai Lama 2
- Shell Kota Damansara Seksyen 6
- Shell Sri Hartamas
- Shell Jalan Kepong 2 (Lot 4086 Jln Kepong Mukim Batu, Kuala Lumpur, 52100)
- Shell Jalan Cheras KM 5.5 (PT 7430 HSD 111856, Kuala Lumpur, 56100)
If you happen to miss out on this offer, you can still purchase your RFID tags at all Touch ‘n Go fitment centres at the price of RM35 from 15 February. The sale is available nationwide, too!
About the aforementioned future plan for RFID fuelling, the goal is to allow customers to pay for gas without the need to use their mobile phones, or even the point-of-sale system. Payment can be done when an overhead scanner reads the radio-frequency from each RFID tag and the amount of money will be automatically deducted. We hope that this payment option can be ready to use soon.
This sounds kind of revolutionary and we hope that it’ll gradually improve everyone’s quality of life!
