If you live in one of these districts and work in the other, don’t worry, you won’t have to go through the tedious process of applying for interstate travel.

According to the Malaysia Government Call Centre (MyGCC), Malaysians don’t have to apply for interstate travel if you’re travelling to and from: Putrajaya, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

PUTRAJAYA, KUALA LUMPUR DAN SELANGOR ADAKAH DIKIRA SEBAGAI NEGERI ATAU DAERAH?Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor…

“Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are all categorised under the Klang Valley.

“Travel between these places will be considered as inter-district travel and nor interstate travel during the CMCO,” said the statement while referencing MKN.

If you’re still confused as to what this means, MyGCC gives a pretty good illustration of that that would look like here: “If you live in Banting and want to travel to Putrajaya for work. You can travel to Putrajaya without asking or applying for permission from the police. District-to-district travel is allowed.”

We hope this clears things up for some of you! In the meantime, do stay up to date with the latest on travelling restrictions by following PDRM’s Facebook page.
