1. Juice a lemon without making a mess
You may think that juicing a lemon isn’t such a difficult thing to do. But, once you learn this hack, you may never go back to the old of way of juicing a lemon.
Simply use the tine of a fork to pierce the lemon peel and then stick a chopstick three-quarter of the way up the lemon, creating a wide enough channel to really maximize the amount of juice you extract.
It’s really easy peasy lemon squeezy!

2. Reverse-strain your pasta
How do you usually strain your pasta?
If you usually stick a strainer or colander in the sink and pour out the pasta water on top of it…you may want to try this hack instead!
The next time you cook pasta, try reverse straining it. Just stick the strainer or colander over the pot and let most of the water drain out through the holes.
Not only does this hack prevent your pasta from possibly spilling out, but it also helps you save time as you don’t have to put the cooked noodles back into the pot to toss it with the pasta sauce.

3. Remove egg yolk with a water bottle
I don’t know about you but I still struggle separating egg whites from the yolk the traditional way.
If you have the habit of nicking the yolk by separating it the old fashion way, give this hack a try!
Simply take an empty water bottle, hold the mouth to the yolk and release the pressure on the bottle. The yolk will be sucked right up!

4. Peel mangoes with a glass
This trick might be a little tricky the first time but the more you get the hang of it, the easier it will be to peel a mango in the long run!
Cut mango in half and avoid the pit in the centre. Then, line up one end of the mango with the lip of a glass. Use the glass to scoop out the flesh of the mango in one swift move!

5. Slicing cherry tomatoes
You don’t have to slice your cherry tomatoes one by one. Try this hack out!
Place the cherry tomatoes onto a plate or a plastic lid. Then take another plate or plastic lid and place it over the cherry tomatoes. Press down on the top lid and use a knife to slice the tomatoes from the sides.

6. Hull a strawberry with a straw
If you prefer removing the inner core of a strawberry, you should try this hack out.
Simply stick a straw (preferably a reusable straw) from the tip of the strawberry through the other end and the stem will pop right off!

7. Peeling garlic
Tired of peeling each garlic clove one by one? Here is another method that will help you save so much time.
Cut your garlic in half and use the flat surface of your knife to smash down on the garlic. The skin of the garlic should be loose and come off much easier.
